The Repulic

This experimental republic has failed.

A basic premise in the organization of this nation is that government reflects the will of the people.

Whenever the question of illegal immigration is put to the voters; people overwhelmingly want our laws enforced and the illegals out of the country.

Given a chance, the populace rejects “gay marriage” by a large margin.

Late term abortion is rejected by most people across the political and racial spectrum of citizens.

We have three people likely to be voted as president of these united states. All of them hold views contrary to the population’s as demonstrated by ballots and polls. All three have stated that man-made global warming must be combated at the cost of our freedom and prosperity.

Think about it! We have three people without a discernable difference among them on these issues. All of them are more are interested in exercising power than protecting the rights of the states or the people of this once great country.

Questions:

How did this happen?

What can we do about it?

Is it time to pledge our lives, our fortune and our sacred honor?

Please talk about it, Let me know what you think. Am I wrong to think that it is over?

OATH

This blog will not be one which posts opinion nor attempts to educate as a rule.

Most often I will pose a question and hope to recieve answers which can be expanded upon and perhaps start an in depth dialogue.

Today I would like to have responses from better educated people than I am on the question of the importance of an oath. As I understand it, an oath is a most solemn promise made legally and before God to perform in a certain way. All elected and many appointed people take an oath to "protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic".

We have seen justices of the supreme court of the United States announce that extra- Constitutional sources were consulted in deciding cases. Is this an example of an oath violation? If so, where are the many officials who promised to defend the Constitution? Why don't they raise holy hell and impeach such open violaters? Aren't these justices "domestic enemies" if they ignore our most important and cherished founding document? Should someone have done something about this? If so, who and how?

Respectfully, FOWG
